HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS. (click below):
APRIL 1: We will depart DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FOR A 10.5 hour flight to Cairo.
APRIL 2: We will arrive in Cairo (about 4:00am), and be met by the English speaking tour guide. Visa documentation will be waiting ($25 cost is NOT included). You will be required to show your passport again. Transportation by tour bus to the Sheraton Cairo Hotel and Casino. Upon arrival at the hotel, a breakfast buffet (included) will be provided starting at 6:30am. Check-in begins begins immediately. Rest of day to relax or explore on your own.
APRIL 3: Breakfast is included. Today you will enjoy a half day visit to the Pyramids and the Sphinx with a camel ride included (Excursion #1). The Pyramids were reckoned by the Greeks to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A single pyramid is built of 2,300,000 blocks, each weighing an average of two and one-half tons. In the face of such immensity, one cannot help but feel the wonder and awe that so many writers and artists have sought to convey over the centuries. The Cheops Pyramid is especially interesting since its interior burial chambers are open for inspection by the public. Not far from the Pyramids is the Great Sphinx of Giza, which dates from the time of Chephren (2620BC). Built from natural yellowish limestone and standing 65 feet high by 187 feet long, this unforgettable statue combines the head of a Pharaoh with a lion's body. Rest of day to relax or explore on your own.
APRIL 4: Breakfast and Dinner is included. Today you will visit the Egyptian Museum (Excursion #2), the most important depository of Egyptian antiquities anywhere in the world. It features artifacts from the Pharaonic and Graeco Roman periods, including the celebrated mummies of ancient Egypt's kings and King Tutankhamun's treasures. You will also visit the mummies room within the The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities. Return to your hotel with the rest of the day at leisure. We will also enjoy a two hour dinner cruise of the Nile River (Excursion #3)
APRIL 5: Breakfast Box is included. Bus transportation to Cairo International Airport to catch the 1.5 hour flight to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, bus transportation to the Hilton Luxor Hotel and Resort. Rest of day to relax or explore on your own. A horse and carriage ride through the city of Luxor is included (Excursion #4). Approximately 75 minutes long.
APRIL 6: Breakfast at the hotel and enjoy a full day visit to the East and West Bank (Excursions #5 and #6). Visits are made to the Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple. The Luxor Temple was built largely by Amenhotep III and Ramses II, the temple served as a setting for the rituals of the festival, which was held to reconcile the human aspect of the ruler with his divine office. The Karnak Temple was erected in 1928 BC as a small shrine dedicated to Amun, god of Thebes. The Temple of Karnak comprises of three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples - all constructed over 1300 years. The three main temples of Mut, Monthu and Amun, are enclosed in enormous brick walls, with the temple of Amun at the center. Karnak is now the largest and oldest temple compound on earth. A 2 hour stop for lunch is provided at your expense.
APRIL 7: Breakfast at the hotel is included. Day is at leisure.
APRIL 8: Breakfast at the hotel is included. Day is at leisure.
APRIL 9: Breakfast box is included. Depart hotel for the airport for our 11 hour flight home.
OPTIONAL: $425 PER PERSON
Instead of four nights in Luxor, you can travel by luxury tour bus (3 hours) to Aswan for two nights.
On April 4, travel from Luxor to Aswan by bus, check into the Mövenpick Resort Aswan for a two (2) night stay. While there, enjoy daily breakfast (2), two tours - the High Dam and Nubian Museum. On April 6, you will fly from Aswan to Cairo, to join the rest of the group for 3 nights in Cairo.
If you choose the optional Aswan tour, you will still enjoy all tours that are included in the Luxor and Cairo portions of the trip.
With the Aswan option, you will have 2 nights Luxor, 2 nights, Aswan, and 3 nights Cairo.
A valid US passport is required.
The US passport must expire after October 2021.
Initial $200 deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE! There will be no exceptions! Please ensure you and your roommate/traveling partner are in agreement with the terms and conditions of this trip. Monthly payments of $100 or more, PER PERSON is required to maintain your reservation. Three consecutive months of no payments will result in the cancellation of your reservation.

To book, you must have or are able to obain a valid US passport, a $200 deposit and the desire to travel internationally with a sophisticated group of enthusiastic vacation lovers.
THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AFTER BOOKING! PLEASE ENSURE YOU AND YOUR ROOMMATE AGREE TO ATTEND THIS EVENT, PRIOR TOO BOOKING.
Your reservation is NOT complete until each person occupying the room have completed the online booking process and submitted the $200 deposit.
Roommates have 30 days to submit their deposit after the first roommate. Monthly payments should begin 30-45 after booking your reservation.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU MAKE YOUR DEPOSIT?
After you and your roommate complete the required booking and make your deposits, you will receive an invoice from FRESHBOOKS, Inc. within 72 hours. Please check the email address you provided and the SPAM/JUNK folders. You will also receive a Welcome Letter which will provide additional information regarding your reservation.
